Job Corps Center

Whitney Young Job Corps Center, located in Simpsonville, Kentucky, offers a high school diploma program, a GED program and co-enrollment opportunities, in addition to the following vocational training programs:

Bricklayer Health Occupations
Carpentry Medical Assistant
Cement Masonry Medical Office Support
Clerical Occupations Painter
Culinary Arts Pharmacy Technology
EKG/Phlebotomy Welding
Facilities Maintenance  

Whitney Young Job Corps Center has four dormitories and trains about 400 students each year. There are many fun activities to take part in on center, such as billiards, arts and crafts and choir, as well as several sports, including baseball, basketball, softball, flag football and volleyball.
Students can also take advantage of leadership opportunities through the Student Government Association, the National Honor Society, the Security Cadet Program and community service projects.
Whitney Young Job Corps Center partners with more than 17 local employers to give students real-world experience.
