The Career Preparation Period (CPP) is a student's first 60 days on center. This
is the adjustment period for new Job Corps students. They learn about life on
center, their center responsibilities and map out their personal
career development plan (PCDP). Students work on social skills and learn
basic employability and computer skills that are necessary to obtain a job in
today's marketplace.
Once students complete this phase, they are prepared to begin
learning the educational and vocational skills needed to secure
a lasting career.
